She's definitely wild, and she loooves flowers.
So, this only makes sense.:)
She still crashes after a week or so of not napping. Its usually between 3-5pm, so we prepare ourselves for the rising of the night owl. Thank goodness its maybe only once a week. We got out yesterday evening before dinner, and built and snowman in the front yard. Sometimes I feel so cooped up with them, long spans of fresh air is always welcome. And our snowman rocked...he stands proudly in our front yard, stick arms, black hat, carrot nose and all. My sweet lil wildflower checks on him every morning to make sure he hasn't melted. I guess its one of the charming things about living in chilly Edmonton. Snowmen are a common sight...love dem round cuties.
There is such fun and freedom in not taking yourself too seriously...and around here we can get pretty silly... down right ridiculous, actually, lol. Months ago, I ordered this awesome custom onezie for Cove off of Etsy. Finally, I dug it out from the bottom of one of his drawers and got it on him, hoping it was still going to fit! Well, it fit...Morgan as well, hehe, tiny pixie, that girl. She was much more cooperative and couldn't wait to get her geek on.
Cove on the other hand, way too cool for school, this boy.
No way was he putting on these glasses. He laughed in my face, literally.
So I gave up...
and let him play with his cool tractor instead.:) xx
I'm so happy I took the time to conduct this twenty question interview with Morgan to capture her at 3-years old. Some of the answers I expected (being her mommy and all), but others surprised and even amazed me. This is about the time in her life she'll begin to remember forever. Hard to believe really, considering she's already lived such a full, beautiful life. I hope she's absorbed all its goodness into her cells. Amazing what they experience and how much they grow into little people in such a short period of time. I can't imagine my life without this spunky, intelligent, thoughtful, high-energy, creative, lovebug. She challenges me every minute to be the best mommy, teacher, friend, wife, neighbour... everything. Its not always easy being three. We learn more about each other everyday. Giggles, meltdowns, cuddles, story time, bath time...its always a huge adventure, but we get to do it together, and hopefully we get better at it everyday too.
I'm so thankful I get 'loves' from this amazing human being, whom I'm so lucky to have as my beautiful daughter. Morgan will be four in May... FOUR... and all these precious lil answers are sure to change. So here's my lil sweetpea at three-

20. What does love mean to you? Love means a hug.
Melts my heart... If you haven't done this with your lil one, I recommend getting cuddly and having a curious little chat. If you can't capture their attention for all 20 questions, ask them over a span of a few days. That worked the best with Morgan. You'll find their answers are quite dependant on their mood too, so ask when they're ideally well rested and chatty! So special, sweet, and funny. They'll love reading this in years to come just as much as you will.
As teenagers, we used to dream about Lindsay's winter wedding. As I recall, there were a few white swans in our fantasy, but Lindsay's real life fairytale that took place on Dec. 29th, reads of red sleighs amongst the backdrop of the silver and white rockies, a handsome groom and a bride very much in love.
Congratulations Lindsay and Justin...
These two- magic.
Wishing you a lifetime bursting with endless love, laughter,
