Vintage Carnival on a Summer's Day

Fort Edmonton Park has an amazing vintage carnival that runs all summer. Its so charming and authentic- perfect for the littles. We try and hit it up a few times during the warm summer months. This time we took grandpa along for the nostalgic fun. We usually finish the day with some old-fashioned ice-cream and a walk through the heritage park. The kids love the horse carriage rides and friendly folk dressed in full character costumes. Its a wonderful place to spend a summer afternoon.

Here we go!

High in the blue sky with my sweet girl.

This was SO high, wasn't sure if she was going to panic or not, but she totally kept her cool.
It was not only high but super fast, even I was a little nervous!

They even give away vintage prizes:)

I loved this game as a little girl.
Morgan was gangbusters at it!

Every fair maiden needs a fabulous summer hat.

Loving this time with Grandpa.

Someone has missed his nap and is very sleepy.
This sweet boy is ready to pass out in the car.

Soaking off all the ice-cream stickies.

Cove's 2nd Birthday

Our little man turned the big two at the end of June. I'm so behind on this blog, I know, its crazy. I'm hoping to be here more and give some love to this space. I miss it! We celebrated Cove's special day at the clubhouse on the July long weekend with his cousins and nana and papa. I can't look at this boy without melting. His smile is so enchanting. We love him to bits. So with beautiful weather, a 100-foot slip and slide, plenty of trucks, gumballs, old-fashioned milkshakes and a donut tower, we partied into the early evening.

Happy birthday Cove Patrick.

Mommy made him Great Grandma's Pennsylvanian Dutch Chocolate Cake
